British actress Tamsin Topolski might be brand new to the acting world, but she's already making herself known, having secured a part in BBC TV series Holby City and BBC Radio 4's afternoon drama National Velvet in 2014.

Since graduating from University of the Arts London in 2013, the 24 year old has appeared in theatre productions including Coram Boy at Pleasance Theatre, London, and Liam Borrett's This is Living, which was performed at the Edinburgh Festival last year. But it's since landing the role of Lavinia Putney, alongside Eva Green and Josh Hartnett, in series two of TV drama Penny Dreadful (expected to premiere May 2015 in the UK), that the industry has finally started to take notice of this homegrown talent. And with more projects in the pipeline, including short film Commitment set to be released next year, there's just no stopping this rising star.
